INTEGRITY, RELIABILITY AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
My website was completely written and designed by myself. It will allow you
the opportunity to get to know me, the cabinet making contractor, before I
enter your home to meet with you and your family for your cabinet making
and remodeling needs. Most websites are written by website designers and
they only give you a general idea of their client's products and not mention
their personality or who they really are. My website will give you a personal
insight of who I am and the grade of work I perform, helping you to choose
the right contractor. Please take your time reading through my website as you
get to know me and the type of work I perform. When I founded Cabinet
Makers Custom Built-in Bookcases, I knew I could satisfy my customer's
demands based on my 45 plus years of professional experience in good
business ethics and woodworking knowledge making me the true and honest
craftsman my customers were looking for in this sea of contractors. When I
started Cabinet Makers Custom Built-in Bookcases, I incorporated the ethics
of "doing the right thing even if I think nobody is looking". Starting and
finishing a project and not leaving it for another project until the present
project is completed. Prompt early start time every day so when you get
home from work I'll be done for the day and out of your home. Always having
your present day's materials ready for installation so I don't have to make
material errands. Cost-effective process from beginning to end. Product
exceeds expectation. I personally work every project with my apprentice
helpers so you get that personal care and attention. Honesty, integrity and
great value. And most importantly, listening to my customers and
accomplishing their needs.
I am also a consumer and I know what it's like first hand to be lied to, misled, and to be looked at as a consumer instead of a person. I
was brought up by honest, trustworthy and truthful parents who instilled those great values in their children and they worked hard to
structure us to become decent hard working adults. Based on my good upbringing, I find it very easy to work with clients and potential
customers to fulfill their cabinet making and bookcase needs. And to treat them the only way I know how, as a friend instead of a
consumer.
My customers know when they call Cabinet Makers Custom Built-in Bookcases, that they are actually hiring me, someone with highly
honed cabinet making and bookcase skills, dedication, untiring determination and project comprehension that is committed to each
and every customer's project so they can achieve the results they are seeking from their cabinet making and bookcase dreams.
When you hire Cabinet Makers Custom Built-In Bookcases, you are hiring a small company that understands your individual needs and
respects them. I have built a reliable and trustworthy reputation since I began Cabinet Makers Custom Built-in Bookcases, by fulfilling
people's wishes and needs, completing their projects and with just a little bit more than they thought they would receive. The
rewarding bonuses I've received over the years by incorporating these trustworthy business ethics and values are, devoted customers,
word-of-mouth advertising and referrals that money can't buy.
ABOUT ME
We all know that if a person develops an occupation or education when they are very young, they have truly laid a good foundation for
the knowledge that would be built over the years to come. This short story about me is one that always comes up when a customer and
I are swapping stories about our upbringings. I thought that since I tell this story so much, it would be okay to share it with you now.
These are stories we like to remember and share with others about our experiences and good memories we had during our youth. I'll
be installing a project at a customer's home and most always we get talking about the things that went on during our childhoods.
Maybe I lead the way to these conversations because I have so many wonderful memories about my childhood. We'll get talking about
the vacations we took and the places we went to, and then it most always it gets around to how I became a cabinetmaker. I guess this is
because they are finally seeing their most sought after cabinetry project taking shape and realizing they are in good hands.
I'll tell them about the Salvation Army's enormous recreation center for family and youth that was in our neighborhood.
This building was so big that it housed a church, basketball court and hockey court on the first floor and in the basement there were
pool tables and shuffleboard along with a model building shop, a ceramic shop for the women and my favorite, "the cabinet making
shop" for the men. When I was 11 years old I was always at the door of that cabinet making shop's window looking so intensely at what
those guys were building. This went on every time I visited that recreation center during that summer's vacation until one evening the
shop teacher opened the door and said to me. Do you like cabinet making and bookcase building, would you like to become a cabinet
maker. And I said, "yeah man". And he said to me, "you look like a cabinet maker." Come here at the cabinet making shop every
Tuesday and Thursday evenings at seven o’clock, when everybody is gone and I'll show you a few things and we'll see if you have
bookcase building skills.
Well, the beginning of that next week is when I started to build my first bookcase and that began my career as the cabinet maker I am
today. We worked hard on that small four sided black walnut bookcase, Mr. Wilson and I. It was only 3 1/2 feet in length by one tall
book's height. I value those memories and I think about them and talk about them often with my customers. I like to think that when
my customers hear this story about me they think in their mind that this guy is a true cabinetmaker and his experiences originated
when he was a young man. I also like to think, because I had such an early start in the cabinet making and bookcase field, that this is
the reason I gathered such a wealth of information and experience which has made me the problem solver, cabinet maker and
bookcase builder I am today. Till this day I always make a special trip to that Salvation Army building to hand deliver my yearly
Christmas donation, and in return they always grant my request for a walk through of their basement where that cabinet making shop
once was. Everything is gone now, the pool tables, the shuffleboard tables, the ceramic shop and model shop. The cabinet making shop
doesn't exist anymore either and all the woodworking machinery was moved out to make way for storage. But when I make my yearly
visit I can still see those guys through the window of that door building their bookcase projects.
Continuing on after high school shop classes and working with my uncle who was well versed in carpentry skills, I mastered the art of
entry door and window frame installation along with bathroom and kitchen remodeling. I set my finish carpentry and cabinet making
skills for a higher goal because I wanted to prefabricate entry door units, window and frame units, cabinetry and bookcases, etc… to be
manufactured in the cabinet making shop environment where higher qualities of woodworking are achieved. Shortly after those years I
set goals working with Formica or plastic laminate fabrication at my small woodworking shop making kitchen counter tops, cabinetry,
bookcase work and office tables. Later on in life I managed a larger shop and started working with hardwoods for kitchen cabinetry,
bathroom vanities and then finally getting in touch with my true passion of bookcase work, bookcases with cabinetry, home offices
construction and home libraries.
I only use the highest quality materials for my woodworking projects!!!
