It is my pleasure to offer a testimonial for Michael
Rogozinski. Mike just completed our bookcase project
in our Philadelphia condo, and I have to say that our
patience is well rewarded for this master piece for
which I am certain will be admired and enjoyed for
generations. The bookcase is measured 12 x 9 feet
which covers one entire wall of our study. For such as
a project, we were initially concerned of its massive
measure and potential visual dominance. Mike was
instrumental in sharing his knowledge and experience,
and helped us in choosing cherry wood with light red
sandstone finish. In addition, his suggestions on the
trims and cabinet doors were critical in creating a
coherent piece with solid posture, yet light and balance
in finish.
We are also very much admired Mike’s workmanship.
To start with, we are impressed with his pride in his
work and his perfectionist attitude for every detail. He
picked the best lumber for our project, and best
hardware for drawer slider and door hinges. Also to our
surprise, he construct two inch thick cabinet surface
board with the best pieces of wood, so that he could
showcase the beauty of cherry wood with those
mesmerizing patterns.
We know that Mike has a hobby to video tape his work,
and I hope that you can benefit from the camera of his
artistic accomplishment. However, it would never
match the experience to have a piece of Mike’s work in
your residence for which you can touch, enjoy and
admire everyday for your life.

What Our Customers Are Saying
Real Projects, Real Homes—Enhanced for Clarity
Every project featured on this site is a custom piece I personally
designed and built for a customer's home. Because my
expertise is in cabinetry rather than professional photography,
some of my site photos don't always capture the true quality of
the work. While the majority of the images here are original and
untouched, I have used AI to polish a few select photos that
were out of focus or poorly lit. This allows you to see the joinery
and detail more clearly. The photography may be digitally
corrected, but the craftsmanship is 100% my own handcrafted
work.
Michael Rogo. just finished our new built -in cabinet
and bookcases and we are over the top thrilled. They
look better than we could have imagined. Our entire
experience from setting up the estimate to scheduling
the installment went very smoothly. He communication
was timely with calls and emails. Most importantly he
is a skilled craftsman and took great care on all the
details. Every step of the way he explained what he
was doing. He informed us about the type of high
quality wood he uses , styles of moldings and choices
of lighting and handles. He offered his expert design
opinions and gave us options. Michael is the
consummate professional. If you are considering
bookcases or cabinets in your home, I recommend him
very highly for any project.

First, let me tell you a bit about me so you can
understand the perspective of the person writing this
testimonial. There are several reasons why I could be
considered a carpenter’s worst nightmare. By
profession I am a Chief Financial Officer, so I am
careful with money and have an eye for value. I am
also a woodworker, making furniture and gallery-quality
woodturnings, so I appreciate quality construction as
well as design and creativity. Finally, I insist on doing
all work on my home - from routine maintenance to
heavy construction to finished carpentry - because I
believe no one will use the care and quality on my
home that I would.
Now for the scenario. Three years ago, with the best
intentions, I gutted our dining room to convert it to a
library. I sealed off a doorway, created another
doorway, did electrical work, painted, and installed a
beautiful rustic walnut floor. Two years later, with the
“library” in that same state, my wife told me she was
watching her dream of having a library slowly die.
Years had passed and I had no time to get around to
building the cabinetry – without which you just have an
empty room. I had to finally admit to myself (and my
wife!) that, although I had the tools, ability and desire, I
just didn’t have the time to undertake such a big job.
This is when I had the good fortune to find Mike Rogo
(a.k.a. Mike the Carpenter).
First, you can’t help but like Mike right from the start.
He’s a friendly, down to earth guy, as well as being
extremely smart and determined to have his customers
delighted by his work. My two young sons would
always ask when Mike was coming over because they
loved talking to him and seeing what he was going to
build.
Next you’ll be impressed with his design ideas…he’s
been doing this for a long time and knows what will
look good and work for your needs, even when you
don’t. Many times Mike either had his own great
design ideas, or improvements on mine. Once he
starts building, you’ll love Mike’s meticulous attention
to detail. He cares about every component, every joint,
every seam. The fit and finish of his work is a
testament to his incredible craftsmanship. In fact, I
would often be looking over his shoulder to learn some
of his tricks and techniques.
Finally, you need to prepare for the many ooooohh’s
and aaaahh’s that you’ll hear when guests see the
custom addition to your home.
I’m not over my aversion to have someone else work
on my home, but Mike is no longer “someone else”,
and I am already planning the next project.

I feel compelled to write Mike Rogo a testimonial after
the absolutely beautiful new kitchen cabinet doors he
designed and installed in my Philadelphia, Queen
Village home. I wanted to write this testimonial for
Michael because I want to let people know that there
are still high quality professionals around such as
Michael. He is on time every morning and does not
stop until every part of the project he proposed in the
beginning is completed thoroughly. He is truly a
cabinet maker above other cabinet makers. I am one
of the lucky ones since I met Mike over 20 years ago
when he was working for a next door neighbor. During
those years he has performed countless projects in my
home and has always outperformed what he proposed.
When Michael comes to work in my home it’s like two
friends coming together, having coffee and chitchatting
about the project at hand. When I go to work and leave
him in my home to work, I only concentrate on my
duties that I have to perform that day, knowing that
when I come home, Michael’s project will be finished
beautifully and that he has tidied up after himself.
So when I tell you that this guy is a true professional,
courteous and respectful of your home and property,
you will not make a mistake by hiring him. Oh, and by
the way he has a great sense of humor and is quite fun
to have around!

This is my testimonial for Michael Rogozinski
beautifully built Oak kitchen cabinet doors and radiator
covers. My wife and I decided and since we were
remodeling our home we would like to replace our old
kitchen cabinetry doors and metal radiator covers.
When Mr. Rogozinski arrived at our home for his initial
estimate, he suggested wood veneer core plywood
after listening to our concerns. We really didn’t know
what that was until he further explained to us how it
would last for many, many years without cracking or
damaging in the slightest and giving us years of natural
wood beauty.
He told us the designed engineering of switch crossing
laminate layers making up the plywood sheets and
finished with any high grade species of wood we
desired. He said the furniture quality product is
completely different from plywood and is known in the
cabinet making industry as veneer core. Further he
explained to us if we wanted raised panel kitchen doors
than solid lumber would be chosen.
But since the design of the doors and covers would be
flat, veneer core with the visible front and back
surfaces being of the species of wood we desired
would be perfect. We chose a beautiful red Oak for our
kitchen cabinet doors and radiator covers resulting in
the desirable finish Mr. Rogozinski explained. After
seeing the products installed and completed my wife
and I are completely happy with the product Mr.
Rogozinski suggested and built for us.

My wife wanted a glass cabinet for our kitchen in order
to hold our wine glasses, bowls and other glassware.
Michael Rogozinski, who had done other projects for
us, was our first choice. He worked with my wife to
design the cabinet, recommend dimensions, choice of
wood and glass. Mike is extremely easy to work with
on such projects due to his incredible amount of
experience and knowledge making such a project a
pleasure to do. Once the design and materials were
selected, Mike built the cabinet in his shop and
returned to our home to install it exactly on the date
he promised it would be ready. Installation went
smoothly, no mess and the cabinet is always something
our guests comment about while spending time in our
kitchen. We could not have more pleased with the final
project, price and scheduling all because Mike was
able to make the project so easy to get done. In fact,
we decided upon several projects for Mike to do later
that summer due to the wonderful experience we had
working with him.
